Who We Are
The Resistance annual Men's Gathering and Movement began from Humble Beginnings. Founder Brett Murray recognised the need and saw the lack of real, down to earth ministry to and for men, so through his wife Terrisa's encouragement, he began to gather men.
Bacon Eggs and Bible was launched bringing men together monthly, as the name suggests, with the simple formula of Bacon and Eggs, exploring the word and mateship with open and frank discussion. Men standing together with each other and simply being authentic. These gatherings are formatted around a 1 hour meeting - 7am - 8am one saturday a month.
From here, the Blood Brothers ministry was born. Men do life and communicate shoulder to shoulder. Blood Brothers is focused on helping men deepen their personal relationship with God. Men are encouraged to study the word of God daily, pray regularly for each other and themselves. Open dialogue on a daily basis is encouraged via social media platforms and regular social gatherings. Fortnightly casual coffee catch ups are a feature of fellowshipping together being real and honest and supportive. Blood Brothers builds 'mateship' among men, knowing that you have Brothers who have your back.
More was needed, so inspired by the scripture James 4:7 which reads - "Submit yourselves therefore, to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." An annual Men's gathering was launched in 2020, a weekend of real power and real life. Hosted in the Beautiful Canola and sheep country of the Riverina of NSW, in the town of Henty, the Resistance was born. Based around a hunger for a deep relationship with God, and celebrating real life interests, Men came together with passion and authenticity. A movement of Men was born who are willing to submit themselves to God in order to Resist the devil and all his schemes. Men who will Resist the temptations of this world, Men who stand for the Kingdom of God, Men who know that they are ambassadors of Jesus here on earth. Men who want to reverse the trends of Domestic Violence and abuse, who stand against toxic Masculinity, Men who represent strong Christlike positive masculinity. Men who celebrate masculinity and believe Genesis 1:27 - "God made MAN is His own image, MALE and FEMALE He created them." The Resistance is a movement of Men who are not afraid to stand for righteousness, to stand up for women, who will protect children and see Gods will be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. The Resistance is the extension of Blood Brothers ministry to the world to help more men from across Australia and the world to build their own deep relationship with God and create their own band of Brothers who will encourage each other to fulfill the potential that God created them with.
